What is magpul pdr?

The Magpul PDR (Personal Defense Rifle) is a compact bullpup design assault rifle developed by Magpul Industries, a firearms accessory manufacturer based in the United States. The PDR was first unveiled in 2006 and is designed to be a versatile and compact weapon for military and law enforcement use.

One of the key features of the Magpul PDR is its compact size, with the bullpup design allowing for a shorter overall length without sacrificing barrel length. This makes it ideal for close quarters combat and urban environments where maneuverability is important.

The PDR is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and has a fully ambidextrous design, including ambidextrous controls and ejection port. It is also designed to be compatible with standard AR-15/M16 magazines.

Despite its innovative design and potential advantages, the Magpul PDR did not see widespread adoption by military or law enforcement agencies. Development of the rifle was put on hold in 2011 and it is unclear if Magpul has any plans to bring it to market in the future.
